Our Story
A safe, compassionate, and dignified home for older persons, offering assisted living, nursing care, and a halfway house for elders convalescing after illness or hospitalization.
Established 2019
Born from a simple, personal conviction
Senior Citizen Nursing Center began as the initiative of two families who, having lived through the day-to-day realities of caring for their own elderly parents, resolved to build something better - a place where older people could be safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, run by people who understood the weight of that responsibility because they had carried it themselves.
Registered as a Non-Governmental Organization under Section 10 of Kenya's NGO Co-ordination Act. Today we serve families across Nairobi, Kiambu, Kajiado, Machakos counties, welcoming residents into a home that is as much about companionship and dignity as it is about medical and physical care. Beyond its role as a residence, the home also functions as a halfway house for elderly patients convalescing after illness or hospitalisation - a bridge back to stability for those who need more support than they can get on their own, even if only temporarily.

The home is run and managed by competent and professionals who are passionate about the plight and the welfare of the elderly. The Founders who are also the board members have a lot of experience staying with the elderly people having themselves cared for the relatives and parents.

Reaching Beyond the Home
Advocacy and outreach
We conduct outreaches which covers visiting the vulnerable elderly persons (VEP) where we provide them with food and clothing. We also organize medical camps, legal clinics, workshops, seminars and other activities aimed at uplifting the socioeconomic and health status of the elderly community while at the same time we advocate for dignified andrespectful lifestyle of the senior citizens.
