Coming from Dagoretti Centre, follow the route past the Kenya Red Cross toward Kikuyu Campus, continuing on toward Kikuyu Hospital and Kikuyu Town. The home sits in a quiet setting near Ha-Guard, about five kilometres from Karen Shopping Centre and roughly thirty metres back from the main road.

A small, dedicated team: a Manager overseeing daily operations, a Secretary handling accounts, communications, and fundraising, and a Social Worker responsible for medical support, nutrition, and bringing new residents into our care. A Head Cook keeps every resident's diet balanced, and a Board of Management - made up of our founders and co-opted members from partner organisations - sets policy and strategic direction.

Yes. Beyond long-term residency, we serve as a halfway house for elderly patients recovering after illness or hospitalisation who need more support than they can get on their own, even if only temporarily.

Daily Life & Care

Residents receive weekly visits from registered nurses through our working partnership with local hospitals, along with daily medication supervision and a dedicated room for short-term medical treatment when needed.

Yes - meals are planned around each resident, including accommodation for special dietary requirements.

Life at the home includes planned recreational activities, shared meals in our dining hall, time in our library and recreation spaces, and support with daily routines like laundry, housekeeping, and transportation - all designed to keep residents engaged, not idle.

Visiting & Family

Ask About Visiting Hours

Keeping families and friends closely connected to residents' wellbeing is one of our core commitments. We encourage regular visits and open communication, so relatives always know how their loved one is doing.

Getting Involved

We welcome cash support, in-kind donations of food and clothing, resident sponsorships, and corporate or church partnerships. Every bit of support helps us give our elders the dignity they deserve.

See Ways to Give

Yes. Through outreach visits, medical camps, legal clinics, and community workshops, we work to lift the wellbeing of vulnerable elderly persons across the wider community, not just our own residents.

See Our Programs

Over the years the home has pursued income-generating initiatives - including poultry keeping, dairy farming, beekeeping, and small-scale horticulture - with produce going first to feeding residents and any surplus sold locally to help fund running costs. Reach out if you'd like the current picture of what's active.
